Product does not work properly. Tried every possible combination and it won't display correctly. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I purchased this approximately a week back because I was getting tired of plugging in every single cable when I redock my back onto my desk. However, thunderbolt 3 docks are extremely expensive, and the lower end docks have a lack of docks.
Long behold this product with everything very well rounded. We have a premium aluminum build quality for heat dissipation (usb c and thunderbolt docks usually get really hot from the amount of bandwidth going through them) and a nice laptop holder if you want to prop up your laptop for cooling (depending on your laptop, it's better for me to have mine open lid on a laptop stand).
It's important before buying this to make sure you have a thunderbolt port or a usb c dock that supports alt mode, which is a mode that lets you carry over power, video, etc). If not, any thunderbolt port that is the shape of a usb c jack will do fine.
This dock also allows you to put hi-res monitors up without any lag at 60hz or higher. I'm running a 3440x1440 resolution on an ultrawide monitor with usb ports plugged in, and I still have the display port to plug in to access a 4k monitor to display more stuff on.
Overall, the dock works flawlessly, and the clamp (as explained in the video) doesn't spring clamp your laptop if you're scared of it damaging your laptop. It's a simple screw that you turn a couple times and it'll let you adjust this "clamp". The clamp also has silicone pads on it to prevent your laptop from scratching and slipping.
This dock is the perfect money saver for those who want to look for a balance between quality and the price.
